College Lacrosse Live Partners with Shootout for Soldiers to Honor American Veterans

[Elkridge, MD] February 17, 2025 – College Lacrosse Live is excited to announce a new partnership with Shootout for Soldiers, a 24-hour lacrosse event dedicated to benefiting American veterans. This partnership will help bring recognition and support to those who have served our country by honoring one Shootout for Soldiers’ Veteran of the Game.

As part of this partnership, College Lacrosse Live will present an on-field “Salute to Service” to a Shootout for Soldiers’ Veteran of the Game at every event during the 2025 College Lacrosse Live Series. The presentation will occur during the third quarter of each game, giving fans and players alike the opportunity to show their appreciation and respect for those who have sacrificed in service to the nation.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Shootout for Soldiers,” said Lee Corrigan, President of Corrigan Sports. “This collaboration allows us to do what we love—celebrate the game of lacrosse—while also giving back to the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms. Honoring a Veteran of the Game at each event will be a powerful reminder of what really matters.”

Shootout for Soldiers is more than just a lacrosse event—it’s a celebration of community and support for veterans. With over five million dollars raised, SFS works with nonprofits at the ground level, providing life-changing services to support Veterans when and how they need it most. With a unique format that spans 24 hours, the event isn’t about tournaments or recruiting; it’s about coming together to raise awareness for veterans’ organizations.

Erik Mineo, Executive Director for Shootout for Soldiers expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “At Shootout for Soldiers, we believe in the power of lacrosse to unite communities and make a real impact. Partnering with College Lacrosse Live allows us to amplify our mission—honoring those who have sacrificed for our country while bringing people together through the game we love- The Creators Game. Recognizing a Veteran of the Game at each event is more than just a tribute; it’s a reminder of the resilience, courage, and service that define our nation’s heroes.”

The 2025 College Lacrosse Live Series will feature the following matchups:

Towson vs. Virginia – March 8, Houston, Texas
Denver vs. Duke – March 22, Dallas, Texas
Virginia vs. Maryland – April 9, Towson, MD
Cornell vs. Syracuse – April 12, Uniondale, NY

The partnership between College Lacrosse Live and Shootout for Soldiers underscores the importance of community, camaraderie, and gratitude for those who protect our country.
