Cornell vs. Syracuse to Compete for Crown of New York in the 2025 College Lacrosse Live Series at Mitchel Field in Uniondale, NY

Elkridge, MD – January 17, 2025 – The 2025 College Lacrosse Live Series is set to conclude with an epic showdown between two historic lacrosse powerhouses: Cornell University and Syracuse University. The game will take place on April 12, 2025, at Mitchel Field in Uniondale, New York, bringing together two of the most storied programs in college lacrosse, both hailing from the state of New York.

This highly anticipated matchup marks the fourth and final game of the 2025 College Lacrosse Live Series, and it is expected to be a fitting conclusion to a thrilling series. With both teams having deep-rooted histories and passionate fan bases, this game will be a true celebration of New York lacrosse and will no doubt generate excitement across the region.

Gary Gait, Head Coach of the Syracuse Orange, spoke about the significance of this rivalry matchup: “The College Lacrosse Live Series has been a fantastic experience for our program and for lacrosse fans alike, and we are excited to be part of the final game in 2025 against Cornell,” Gait said. “Syracuse and Cornell are two of the most successful programs in the history of the sport, and it’s always a special event when we meet on the field. Connor Buczek, Head Coach of the Cornell Big Red, echoed Gait’s enthusiasm, reflecting on the success of the event last year and the excitement surrounding this year’s matchup: “Last year’s College Lacrosse Live Series event was an unforgettable experience for our team, and we’re thrilled to be back in 2025 to face Syracuse,” Buczek said. “The rivalry between Cornell and Syracuse is always a thrilling one, and it will be great to play in front of a New York crowd once again.
