As part of the series, the matchup between the Towson Tigers and the Virginia Cavaliers promises to deliver top-tier talent and fierce competition in an exciting new location.

Lars Tiffany, Head Coach of the Virginia Cavaliers, expressed his excitement about the upcoming game, “We are thrilled to be in Texas and to be a part of the College Lacrosse Live Series.  We are fortunate to be able to compete against a formidable Towson team that is loaded with returning talent while exposing our style of lacrosse to a region of this nation that has been critical to our recruiting successes.  Two of our current men, Matt Nunes and Reese Stepanian, hail from the Houston area, and more are coming to Charlottesville in the near future.  We are grateful for Corrigan Sports Enterprises including us in this unique experience.”

Shawn Nadelen, Head Coach of Towson University’s lacrosse team, also shared his thoughts on the event, “We are very excited to bring Towson Lacrosse to Houston as part of the College Lacrosse Live Series!  The lacrosse community in Texas will get to experience two elite Division I lacrosse programs battle in the Lone Star State.  We hope this will help grow the game in Texas, which continues to increase its footprint on the lacrosse landscape.  Towson Lacrosse is looking forward to being a part of this great event!”

The event is also made possible thanks to the enthusiastic support of local organizations. Jeremy Platt, a long time All-America Lacrosse Coach, spoke about the significance of the game for the lacrosse community in Texas: “We are thrilled that Corrigan Sports Enterprises is bringing the College Lacrosse Live Series to Houston,” Platt said. “Texas has become a growing hotbed for lacrosse, and events like this help continue to build excitement and inspire the next generation of players. We’re looking forward to seeing the talent of both Towson and Virginia on display in our home state.”

Ryan Horsch, Director for Stangs Lacrosse, the Texas arm of Mad Dog National, says, “It’s great to have Stangs as the exclusive club sponsor for the Towson-Virginia game in Houston.  As the Texas arm of Mad Dog National, we love being involved on the front line of bringing great NCAA DI Lacrosse to Houston. We believe it is vital to growing the sport and help provide opportunities for young players to see and feel the game being played at the highest level. We are excited to partner with Corrigan Sports Enterprises to make this happen.” Ryan Horsch is also the Head Coach at St. John’s School, in Houston where current Virginia defender Reece Stepanian developed his skills.
